If you want to improve your voice; Read Aloud Every Day.

Why?

  1. Reading out loud helps you remember and understand what you’re reading.
  2. Reading out loud increases your vocabulary.
  3. Reading out loud teaches you to you to speak with more conviction/meaning.
  4. Reading out loud exercises your laryngeal muscles; use it or lose it.
  5. Reading out loud provides you with an opportunity to practice greater vocal variety; (no monotone speaking) loud/soft; fast /slow; pausing;
  6. Reading out loud allows you to speak with no ums; ah’s or unneeded filler words. (close your mouth if you are thinking)
  7. Reading out louds helps you pay attention to mispronounced words: eg. fur, (for) luve, (love)
  8. Reading out loud benefits those whose first language is not English.
  9. Reading out loud allows you to listen to yourself.
  10. Reading out loud gets you used to speaking.
