I believe there is tremendous value in creating an encouraging and helpful vocal experience for young singers . This year I have started a singing group called SHINE. This group is made up of girls between 8 and 11 years of age. My goal is to have these lovely young girls let their light shine as they sing together while making lifelong friendships. Some of my best friends are those I met while singing together in groups such as this one.
You don’t need a piano or concert hall in order to sing. You can sing while doing dishes, vacuuming or tooling around in the garage. Why not sing? It’s good for your soul. Go ahead, Sing! Let your light shine.
